Today we’re hitting the bathroom, especially those travel-sized toiletries that seem to multiply under the sink. I love those tiny bottles of shampoo and lotion, but let’s face it: You get new toiletries every time you travel, so what are you saving them for?
Over the next two weeks, commit to actually using these products and free up the space they’re consuming. If the thought of using the freebie shampoo sends you into a beauty apocalypse panic, that’s a sign that you probably shouldn’t have kept it in the first place. Ditch it or donate it to a homeless shelter.
No travel size items? Good for you. Hunt through your full-size toiletries for any that you haven’t used in six months, and toss them. If anything didn’t live up to its marketing hype, stop reliving the disappointment and get rid of it. Ditch any used up products as well.
While you’re in the bathroom, remove any medications that are outdated. The FDA provides advice on how to properly dispose of prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs.
Ah, bathroom shelves with space to spare. Congrats on completing Day 2!
