Tiny Living Tips: Brew your own beverages

Want a space-saving solution for tiny kitchens?  Try brewing your own iced tea. You won’t have to waste precious storage space on sodas and other drinks, and brewing tea these days is a lot easier than it used to be.

With cold-brew tea bags, there’s no need to boil water, or to chill the tea.  Just place a tea bag into a pitcher of cold water and — voila! — you’re drinking iced tea in five minutes with virtually no work.

Lipton Cold Brew is our favorite for regular iced tea, and Twinings makes a seriously refreshing Green Tea with Mint— a flavor that tastes great even without added sweetener.  (If you don’t add sugar, iced tea is a beverage that is naturally calorie-free.)

So if you’re in a pinch for space, consider this: One box of tea bags is smaller than a 2-liter, and it makes 20 times the beverages.  It’s a no-brainer for tiny kitchens.
