Did you know you can get tiny versions of your favorite products at the dollar store?
It’s a shopping tip we love to use to save space in our cabinets. From toothpaste to dish soap, the dollar store offers pint-sized products that do the trick at a low cost. Even though retailers want us to equate size with value, the small dollar store items are often a better deal than their super-sized counterparts.
Selection and prices will vary by store, but here are a few examples that are almost always available at our local Dollar Tree:
Dollar Store: $1 for 4.6 oz (22 cents/oz).
Supermarket: $1.99 for 6.4 oz (31 cents/oz).
Dollar Store: $1 for 11.25 oz (9 cents/oz).
Supermarket: $3.99 for 32 oz (12 cents/oz).
Dawn Dish Soap
Dollar store: $1 for 9 ounces (11 cents/oz).
Supermarket: $3.29 for 20 ounces (16 cents/oz).
Are there other dollar-store staples you rely on? Where else do you find products that fit your small-space lifestyle?
